    • Compliance: complying to the requirements of laws, industry and institutional standards and codes, principles of good governance and accepted community and ethical standards.<\/li>
    • Compliance Culture: the ideas, values, ethics and beliefs that exist within an institution which when related to the interact with the structure and control systems can produce behavioural norms that are conducive to compliance outcomes.<\/li>
    • Compliance Failure: results when an institution has not met its compliance obligations, processes or behavioural obligations.<\/li>
    • Compliance Management Framework: A series of instruments, activities and processes undertaken by the institution, that when combined are intended to achieve compliance, and enable an effective, coordinated approach to the management of compliance obligations, issues and risks.<\/li>

        Staff Members<\/strong><\/p>

        • All GTI staff members are responsible for adherence to the compliance obligations that apply to activities under their responsibility or in the course of their employment, including monitoring and reporting compliance risk events and incidents of non-compliance to the General Manager.<\/li><\/ul>

          Programme Heads are responsible for:<\/strong><\/p>

          • being aware of and adhering to the obligations set out by the relevant external legislation, regulations, codes, guidelines and standards.<\/li>
          • where it is appropriate, establishing and maintaining a detailed compliance register in consultation with the General Manager, evaluating risks, the actions against the risks, the monitoring and reporting on any incidents of non-compliance and the remedial action taken to address them.<\/li>
          • maintaining a record of all incident reports and incidental compliance documents.<\/li><\/ul>

            General Manager<\/strong><\/p>

            • He is responsible for overseeing risk management and risk assessment across the Institute including the overall compliance with external legislation, statutory and regulatory requirements, reporting obligations, and Institute procedures, codes and policies.<\/li>
            • approving the Institute\u2019s Compliance Policy and ensuring that these are aligned with the strategic and operational objectives and with relevant governmental regulations in consultation with the Head of Programs and Quality Team, taking necessary preventive and corrective actions to address any problems identified with regard to compliance;<\/li>
